Description

Humidity and temperature transmitters measure relative humidity (RH) and ambient temperature simultaneously and deliver both values to a building management system, PLC or data logger. Using stable capacitive polymer sensors, they provide accurate readings across the full humidity range, and many models also calculate derived values such as dew point and absolute humidity. Hamoon supplies wall-mounted, duct-mounted and remote-probe versions to suit every installation.

Outputs include 4–20 mA, 0–10 V and RS-485 Modbus RTU, with an optional LCD display for local indication. Interchangeable or field-calibratable probes simplify periodic calibration, while filter caps and protective housings ensure reliable operation in dusty and demanding industrial environments.

Typical applications

  • HVAC and air-handling unit control in industrial and commercial buildings
  • Clean rooms and pharmaceutical production areas
  • Warehouses, cold stores and archives
  • Control rooms, electrical rooms and data centres
  • Drying processes and climate-controlled production lines

Hamoon engineers can help you choose the right accuracy class, probe type and output for your application. Request a quote today.

Key points when selecting a Humidity & Temperature Transmitter

  • Choose wall, duct or remote-probe mounting according to the measuring point.
  • Set the humidity accuracy class (±2% or ±3%) according to process sensitivity.
  • Match the output (4–20 mA, 0–10 V or Modbus RTU) to your BMS or PLC.
  • In dusty areas, specify a protective filter cap and field-calibratable probe.

Humidity & Temperature Transmitter — frequently asked questions

How often should a humidity transmitter be calibrated?

Typically once a year; polluted environments or pharmaceutical applications may require six-monthly checks.

Can a humidity transmitter calculate dew point?

Many models derive dew point and absolute humidity from RH and temperature and provide them on the output or display.
