Description

Automatic sprinkler systems are one of the most effective means of controlling fires in their early stages. Each sprinkler head is held closed by a heat-sensitive glass bulb that shatters when the surrounding air reaches its rated temperature, releasing water only above the fire. This localised operation limits fire spread and water damage, and gives occupants and firefighters valuable time.

Hamoon supplies sprinkler heads from globally recognised manufacturers in pendent, upright, concealed and sidewall configurations, with standard or quick-response bulbs and temperature ratings from 57 °C upwards. K-factors from 5.6 upwards are available, including ESFR heads for high-piled storage. Finishes include natural brass, chrome and white polyester, and accessories such as escutcheons, guards and sprinkler wrenches complete the supply. Products are UL listed and FM approved (model dependent) and suitable for systems designed to NFPA 13 or EN 12845.

Typical applications

  • Industrial plants, workshops and warehouses
  • Offices, hotels, hospitals and commercial buildings

  • Wet, dry and pre-action systems

Key points when selecting a Automatic Fire Sprinkler Head

  • Match pendent, upright or sidewall style to the ceiling and pipework design.
  • Choose the temperature rating (bulb colour) for ambient conditions; red 68 °C is most common.
  • Take the K-factor from the hydraulic calculations.
  • UL and FM approvals indicate quality and insurer acceptance.
