Description

Power quality problems such as harmonics, voltage sags and swells, unbalance and transients can cause equipment failures, nuisance tripping, overheating and unnecessary energy costs. A handheld three-phase power quality analyzer allows electrical engineers to capture these phenomena on site, find their root cause and verify the effectiveness of corrective measures. Hamoon supplies class-leading analyzers that measure all key parameters according to IEC 61000-4-30 Class A, the international standard for power quality measurement methods.

The instruments log voltage, current, active, reactive and apparent power, power factor, harmonics and interharmonics, flicker and unbalance, with event capture and automatic trending. Flexible current probes simplify connection to large cables and busbars, and PC software produces reports for EN 50160 compliance and energy audits. Safety ratings of CAT IV 600 V / CAT III 1000 V allow use at the service entrance.

Typical applications

  • Troubleshooting drives, UPS systems and sensitive equipment
  • Harmonic studies before installing filters or capacitor banks
  • Energy audits and load studies
  • Power quality compliance checks at the point of common coupling

Key points when selecting a Three-Phase Power Quality Analyzer

  • Choose Class A (IEC 61000-4-30) for formal compliance reports.
  • Select current probes (flexible iFlex or clamps) for the expected currents.
  • Check long-term logging and energy-loss calculation features.
  • Verify CAT IV 600V / CAT III 1000V safety ratings for work on main switchboards.

Three-Phase Power Quality Analyzer — frequently asked questions

What problems does a power quality analyzer detect?

Harmonics, sags and swells, flicker, phase unbalance, poor power factor and transients that damage equipment and waste energy.

Can it be used for energy audits?

Yes. Logging power and energy over time is the basis for energy audits and savings calculations.
