Smart Digital Valve Positioner

A valve positioner ensures that the control valve reaches exactly the position requested by the control system, regardless of friction, process forces or variations in supply pressure. Smart digital positioners take a 4–20 mA setpoint, measure the actual valve stem or shaft position and continuously adjust the actuator pressure to eliminate deviation. Compared with conventional pneumatic positioners, they offer faster response, lower air consumption and a far richer set of diagnostic information.
